Sounds like they should be. Here's the catch.
Nearly all dog poop ends up in landfill, and a compostable bag in a landfill doesn't compost. It rots without air and burps out methane — a much nastier greenhouse gas than CO₂.
Composting it at home is out too. Dog poop can carry parasites, so it's not going near your tomatoes, and most city green bins won't take it.
Recycled plastic just sits there and behaves. And 60% of ours has already been plastic once, so that much didn't get made from scratch.
